LOL , That wont happen . Youll be looking at a 12.80's in that 1900 da . Probably 12.50's at 0 da . My stall knocked .63 off my times . Even in crappy da .

I know you have been around the F-Body's awhile. Same here I have never seen a stock T/A break. I noticed you mentioned it happened to several other people. Not doubting because you could show me the broke T/A. But again a first I have ever heard of it.

Ya I showed him one video, I had a couple others but couldn't get them to load. But I knew of a couple dozen F bodies running stock torque arms and would lift the left front tire. One was a good friend of mine running a 175 shot, and going 11.50's at 117 mph, with stock suspension parts.
It was really more about proper gearing, converter, tires and shock settings than anything else that did it for these cars. Some used an aftermarket trans crossmember to mount the stock torque arm on the cross member, which also makes it adjustable,,,while others I've seen simply install poly mounts on the trans and torque arm and leave the stock mounting setup in place.

I like the advantage of the adjustable pinion, and removing it from the trans is a good idea. But for moderate power levels on 11 second cars the stock arm seems to get the job done fine.
All that heavy duty stuff is fine, and it works, but I don't see it as necessary unless you are building a full on track car making 500 (or more) rwhp. Otherwise it's wasted money and added weight.

no doubt that was a great run you made.

i am going to look into fine tuning my konis ...i forgot all about them before we ran. i am running a street/handling set up right now. i need to find where i wrote down all my settings for those

hopefully if i fine tune that and i dont know..some luck i will be at 13.0

I would guess so,,,there is almost a 6 mph difference in your trap speeds.

Shady, a stall should have been done long ago.

5000lbs gets old when you want speed, BUT should be faster next spring

They can be made to be pretty quick considering what they are,,,but I like them more for the ride and comfort, the room they have, trunk space etc...not to mention the 8.5 inch 10 bolts can take abuse, just a solid overall car.
Great car for the family, road trips, yet still enough power to satisfy.

    Wish GM still made them.

Not even necesary. Rel3rd ran just as fast with his all stock suspension cam only A4 as he did after getting full suspension. (QA1s and everythhing)

Ya that's what I've been saying. There are a ton of these 4th gens running quick on the stock suspension parts. They just aren't needed for moderate power, 11's is no sweat on stock stuff.

A great example is shady's car and my own. Comparing timeslips with just headers and a tune, we were nearly identical in times, 60 foot, MPH etc....yet I had absolutely nothing done on my suspension at the time compared to shadys adjustable lower control arms, relocation brackets and panhard bar.

I have however boxed in the stock control arms and panhard bar since then on both of our 4th gens, as I feel that's really all that is needed. I prefer to keep the stock rubber bushings as well for a quieter ride.

Matters more on a six speed car. QA1s and not beinng scared of breaking things dropped my 60 almost a tenth..
