must be a 4 channel rear. sometimes the reluctor rings get in the way of pushing the axle in far enough to get the c-clips out. may have to do a little forcing of the axle inward. the only thing different you'll be doing as compared to swapping gears is you won't be removing the carrier. you'll pull the axle seal and then the axle bearings will come out.

Unbolt the abs sensors from the brake backing plate and then the axles will go in far enough for the c clip to out.

Thanks alot guys!! got the bearings in, rides smooth but there is still a noise from the rear. sounds a little like metal on metal. not as loud as before. i had the axles checked where it sits on the bearings, didnt seem to have any scores or gouges in it. are there any more bearings, near the spider gear? and if so, is it a beech to replace like this one was? neways, thanks a bunch guys. ill be posting pics of the car soon.

Are you sure the rotors aren't touching the calipers, pads or brackets? Does the noise change when you turn, brake, etc.? Nothing touching the drive shaft? Yoke flange not touching the rear?

ive checked clearance for everything and the noise goes away under acceleration, and screams to high heavens if u let off in gear. little clunk in the rear when the clutch is pressed, and its every gear under and off acceleration. i dunno, maybe just look for a better rear end. any suggestions? thanks for all the help here guys!!
