automatic shifter, help
ok, couple years ago i replaced the stock shift handle with a straight cylinder handle with the button on top. well if anyone knows these handles, what im doin is using the whole shift handle to push down (more like im slamming) on the white stem to engage it.
im concerned with wear on that stem and at some point i wont be able to shift. ive been striking out on finding a site with parts for automatic shifters. find plenty for manuals. if anyone knows what im talking about or any info. let me know.
thanks.

Any pontiac or chevrolet automatic knob will work if it has the staple. I got a grand prix one laying around. Looked good but angles too close to the headunit for me... Egay or junk yard..
Red line goods makes badass kits for a shifter boot as well for our cars.
