i just got my ws6 back from a cam/header/patriot dual spring kit swap and it seems i have developed a lifter tap that gets loud at times. do you think this is the right stuff to clear up that lifter tap or do you think it could be the lifter is toast?

What kind of oil pressure you got?
    What oil are you running?
    What oil filter?
You swapped heads/springs and reused the lifters?

oil pressure-32/35 pounds of pressure when fully warmed up, it used to be about 40 fully warm.
    oil-mobil 1 synthetic
and yes swapped heads/springs and reused the lifters, but i had been told by several people you can use the stock lifters on a cam swap, is that wrong?

well when you do heads and a cam you should have used a ls6 ported oil pump and spent the extra and got new lifters, secondly when you put the old pump back in there is a possibility you pinched that o ring that the pickup seals into, that is why you may have lost a few lb's, if i was you i would replace the pump and the lifters to save yourself the headache down the road,

yeah i would have done the lifters if i had done a head swap, but being that he would have had to pull the heads to replace the lifters would have cost more, so i thought why not give the stock ones a shot. as far as the pump i'll get him to replace the o ring or do you definately think i should get a ported ls6 pump? 32-35 psi isn't that bad is it?

still need 700 more miles to change oil. only thing i have noticed is that on start the engine will be at 900 rpm then it will either stall out or the rpm's drop to 500 or less.
