    Arguing with a Ricer

Tomorrow my pacesetter LT's & ORY are to be delivered. Now the only mods I have is a lid & magnaflow exhaust. I was thinking a gain of 40 horses? Am I in the ball park or what? This Ricer at my work (who knows nothing about american muscle) is a Mitubishi fan says my gains will only be between 10-20. As soon as install is done, im going to TampaTuning who I guess is a new sponsor? Does anybody know of these guys? Im torn between them & Frost but they are close to my home. Please tell me im right about the HP gains so I can tell this Ricer toOFF!!!

Ive seen F-Bodies go from around 300whp stock to around 330whp all the way up to 345whp with a good tune on full exhaust, intake etc.

    My Z28 dyno'd 331whp and 345WTQ with full exhaust.

So it's possible, but not every car is the same and all cars will dyno differently. Also depends on the dyno. Best way to know is dyno stock and then dyno with mods, then dyno with mods w/ tune on the same dyno to get a good comparison of what you gained.

I highly doubt it's 400.. Always ask for dyno sheets and tuners name or Co. when horse power is boasted.. A stealership will tell you it has 1000hp if they think it'll sell you a car....

I gotta go with Smittro on this one. Sounds like an old fashioned bit of leg pulling to me.

I can tell you from experience that Frost tunes are awesome. I don't have any experience with tampatuning but I PM him a few times and he seems nice. He doesn't charge anything to checkout your current tune. He does if makes any change. PM tampatuning and ask him.

If you guys live anywhere near Tampa you need to have Jeremy Formato tune your car. He is by far the best in the area. He has tuned 3 of my cars and I couldnt be happier with his work. fasterproms.net He's a sponsor on here.

if the car makes 345 to 350 RWHP then it might be making 400 crankshaft horsepower...but thats a big IF
