Anyone use a baby seat in their z28 ?
I actually wanted to get a cts-v with a back seat but I couldn't pass up on the deal on my 01 z28 which doesn't make the wifey too happy. Is it like not reccommended or illegal or anything or does it work ?

It works.
Does the Camaro have the bucket type rear seats like the Birds? If so, just use towels to fill it in. 2001 should have the 'latch system' brackets in it as well.

There are many types of babies. Most have striking similarities....
1) they fall asleep while driving with you
2) constantly cry
3) always should be in the back. Just cant have them in the front.
My 01 does have latches in the rear I noticed them earlier when i came home from work. are those specifically for the baby seats?

They work. And yes the latches under the hatch are specifically for the baby seats. Like Luos did, I stuffed a towel under the baby seat to make it fit better.

my 5 year old has been in a carseat in the back of my TA since he was born, so has my 4 month old. so all that crap about "gotta sell my car for something more practical"....boooooshit. if your not a lazy-ass than TA's and Camaros will do just fine. its not like the kid is 5 times the size of your car or anything. sorry, going on a rant here.

don't forget
3)random pukeing and
4)stuffing food between the seats
I'm just glad the goat has leather seats (wet towel cleans anything off of them.
I can also tell you one piece racing seats make it harder to throw a 30+ pound 2 year old ball of energy back there.....but he loves daddy's race car

I've been hauling my nine month old girl around in my 'Bird just fine. You pretty much have to put a rear facing car seat behind the passenger seat. That requires the seat to be moved forward and/or the seat back to be folded forward. and that makes it just about impossible for anyone to ride in that passenger seat so mom will have to ride in the LR seat which is also about impossible.
So when the 3 of us go somewhere together, we take the Malibu or the Grand Cherokee

I'm stuck here. the wife is on my case for getting the z. All she reads about is how the seat needs to be so far up its not useable. Is it that bad? Anyone have any model #s or brands that will fit? I'm talking about rear facing seats of course seems when baby gets a bit older sounds like forward facing seats will be no problem.

Well, for the rear facing seat, what I did was remove the rear seat cushion and put the baby seat in that spot, still using the seat belt to hold the baby seat in position. I'm absolutely sure the government would not approve. I had it in pretty secure. I had to have my seat about an inch forward from where I liked it, but my wife who is 1 inch taller than me (5'8") was still able to ride in the pass. front. Once we had a front facing seat, it was better, and now that both kids are in booster seats it's all golden.
