Sebring Silver- 98 Z-28 camaro
Anyone relocated their battery to the trunk?
I decided to relocate my battery to the trunk of my 87 camaro because I put the LT1 computer where is originally sat, moved it to the drivers side then relized it was going to be in the way of my CAI set-up. I ordered the battery box, cables and hardware last week and got it in on Friday so I've been piddling with it over the weekend. Would it be safe just to run the ground wire to the body? I'm sure it would I just wanted to ask before I did it. This looks really good in the back, I've got a Optima red top battery since it's a sealed unit and won't leak and the positive cables are clear with copper wire. It looks tough, the thing I like is my car has a locking door over the rear storage compartment, some of you third gen guys know what that is, so the battery and all the wiring is hidden. I've still got enough room for my nitrous bottle and Amp for the subs. I'm loving this car more and more every day, it is one bad ass looking third gen. Lots of time and money though...

Thanks, I grounded it to the support beam inside the passenger side quarter panel. I'm going to test it tonight once it's all finished up.
