Consider **non-sponsor link** when it comes time to replace the motor, they have decent prices. If you're not going to go with a stroker, than consider an LS6 instead of an LS1. Brand new they go for $3K with warranty. Plus shipping which ran me about $600.00, but you're talking about a real Z06 motor with 405HP. You would need the LS6 manifold, or better, to see 405HP though, as I see you have a '98.
Just a thought. Good luck. I had someone **non-sponsor link** do mine, as I don't have the provision to get the car up high enough to drop the motor out through the bottom.

I think this link might need to be **non-sponsor link**

**non-sponsor link** is the link to the $2999 LS6.

The '01-'02 LS1 is $2904. Wonder why the LS6 is only $95 more? Good Deal!

The original link goes to a bogus search page.

Someone correct me if this if it is wrong.
