For the people that have painted their own, how long did your paint last and how often did you clean them after the job was done?

Over two years now and they look like they were just painted. We do not run our car in the rain or snow though.

Here's the pictures from start to finish. I know it looks like a ghetto setup with the plastick trash bags taped up, but it worked and I didn't have to worry about bleeding the brakes. I had old jack stands that I set the calipers on to spray them. Worked out perfectly and very easily done. Thanks again for all yalls help.

Nice work! Your rotors still appear to be in good shape. Not a bad idea to paint the hats before they rust up on you. I did ours with POR-15 and they have also held up very well.

Is there a certain color you recommend with the hats?

Either flat or gloss black. It goes with everything. Nice work on the calipers.

Just finished Camaro SS brembo calipers. Removed the calipers (best), ground off the lettering and sprayed with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. A simple scrub with a medium 3M pad and another spray down with the brake cleaner worked fine. Taped-off the fittings, exposed torx heads and fittings. Sprayed with three light coats of G2 red epoxy caliper paint, the last coat goes on as a full wet coat. Used a touch-up gun with a 1.7 tip. After 24 hour cure, I applied some brembo stencils and re-sprayed with the G2 white caliper paint. I'm fitting these to my Superlite Coupe. Beautiful!
