do you have an automatic transmission? Sounds like its slipping. maybe its low on fluid.

Need more info... Is it an auto, standard? If it's an auto it could be the trany is slipping in corners due to low fluid, and if it's a standard the clitch maybe slipping. Cant tell without knowning what trans it has, mileage, and so forth. Anything really @ this point is just guessing....

I think there's chance you've just answered your own question. But yeah I'd start by checking the fluid level (while hot and in Park and engine running). If that's hard mileage good chance for heavy wear too..Start with the fluid and go from there. Could even be a failing torque converter..

either your sunshell is broken or your 2/4 band is shot.

usually if the solenoid goes bad you will get a code. that will say which solenoid is bad or malfunctioning. It is possible it is just a solenoid but I am leaning towards either you planetaries or the band. I would go get it looked at, unfortunately its prob not going to be cheap unless its a solenoid. Good luck and let us know the news
