I've seen no documentation that `98 [806] heads flow less than any other ls1head, it continues to be an unsubstantiated rumor. And even if they did flow less it wouldn't be enough to show a difference, I mean 5 HP is not noticeable on a street car.

There were different cams and injectors.. early ones had an egr... etc.. several minor differences.. but nothing drastic.

Is Lomina right? Or did you mean Lumina? I dont understand why GM would be putting the LS2 in everything. Wouldnt that deter sales of the camaro?

I doubt the maro is even getting a LS2....i'm betting that GM is going to throw in the LS3 from the 08 vette in there. It doesn't make sense for GM to continue production of the LS2 when the LS3 launches.

Those cars are not for the USA so it does nothing to hurt a camaro sale.

Why would those cars benefit from a 400 motor anyways? It makes no sense. That would kill a big reason why people would buy those types of vehicles...gas mileage.

GM isn't going to be putting the LS1 2 3 6 7 in everything they have to meet that Federal across the product line MPG/emissions rating.

Too bad it's not like the 60's... where you had options on what to put in instead of just accepting what you get. It'd be nice to go to the Pontiac dealership and order a Solstice with an LS7 preinstalled.
