Is that the stuff that helps keep it cooler? I've seen tests where that stuff really did work-there's a scientific explanation for it.Just don't ask me to explain it!!

I agree that it works, RP for me all the way, but the reason it does work is that its heat dissipation is far superior to water. Coolant itself is not that good at getting rid of heat, all it does is prevent water freeze and boil over. Straight water is awesome for cooling but freezes and boils. Hope this helps.

Straight water though will over time rust your radiator........... I would recommend always to use a coolant addative.... and RP is a good choice, you will notice the difference

Yep. That along with making the fans come on at 95 and not cut back off until 96 keeps my engine nice and chilly. Fans actually don't run as much as I would have expected either. Bottom line: the stuff works and it is worth it.

I've used Water Wetter and it does work. Although the benefis are not as drastic as if you use Distilled Water and Water Wetter. The additive does help prevent algae growth and rust but is not as effective as the stuff in the coolants. If you race a lot and change your fluids often there is no reason not to use Water and Purple Ice/Water Wetter. Considering than some tracks also ban the use of Coolant in cars participating in their facilities. Alternatevelly you can use a 50/50 (coolant/water) + RP Purple Ice or RedLine's Water Wetter. It is a matter of preference. My .02
