    Antenna fix??

Does anyone have a fix for the auto antenna. What happened was the wife went through the car wash with it up. She got back home and I almost lost my top. Did some looking at it and the motor is working fine. Just curious if someone has a fix to support the antenna back in place.

did the mast break off or is it bent? if its bent, sometimes your can gently bend it back and it will go up and down again.
if its broke then its time for a new power antenna assembly

it is broke. I will double check again tomorrow in the day light. But it looks like I am buying a new assembly.

Does the assembly come with the motor? or is it just the antenna part?

if the assembly at the bottom is okay and not damaged, you can order the antenna mast. It will be alot cheaper than getting a whole new antenna.

There you are, next time make sure the wife only hand washes it.

Is it stuck in the up position? Can it be lowered at all? I'm cheap, if it can be pushed down I'd just unplug the power and listen to CD's but that's just me... Do you have a CD changer? There is a sticky on LS1tech where you can add an Ipod input through the CD changer or even the CD player on the head unit (if you are willing to open it up and play with the sotering iron). I'll PM you the link 'cause I'm not sure if its ok to post a direct link to the other site.

^Just my opinion 'cause like I said I'm cheap...

It can go up or down. right now it is partway, just high enough to get the radio signals in. and the cd changer is also there if I need it. Actually looks alright.

The antenna is unplugged. that way it will not pop back out if it would try to move.
