    Another alt ??

I've been searching almost all the threads about the flickering lights. I found alot of info about this but I just wanted to make sure it isn't something more than just the basics. As soon as I crank up the interior lights flicker and when I turn on the lights they do it also. Also when I driving about 40mph and take it out of gear to turn or stop the volts drop almost all the way down and my lights pretty much get so dim you cant see them! So my ?? is does this sound like the alt or something else? Thanks!!!!!

I would also make sure your belts are tight. It could just be it is not spinning the ALT high enough to get a good charge due to some slipping. Normally if the ALT is going bad you will end up seeing the volt meter start to go all the way down as the ALT is not sending power to your car and then the battery only lasts for a minute or two running everything then car dies. I myself am thinking of getting one of the FAST 140 amp alternators for F-bodys.
