    Amount of Oil for my LS1

    Just curious the amount of oil needed for my LS1. Gonna change and put some royal purple in. I looked in the owners manual and didnt see it.

    Royal Purple is overpriced over marketed bullshit oil. Lucas is snake oil.
    Pennzoil Platinum 10-30 or if you insist on top shelf Amsoil will kick Royal Purple ass all day long in UOA's as will PP 10-30.

    Go to Wal-Mart.
    Pick up the Pennzoil Platinum for $19.99 for 5 quarts. The big jug.

    When I go, I pick up whatever Wal-Mart has on their shelf at the time. It gets used in my stroker T/A, my daily '01 grand am, and my girls Vibe.

    I dont understand why its over 5 bucks a quart and under 20 for all 5. Wait... i know... you are forced to either buy 2 gallons(40 bucks) or 26 dollars in oil..(1 quart..1 gallon)
