    alternator upgrade

I know the AD244 alternator fits in our cars but from what years? I know sjsingle did a write up about it and used a 2003 GM truck. I was looking at this bosch alternator on amazon:

Amazon.com: Bosch AL8731N New Alternator: Automotive

But it says it doesn't fit 2003 model which is weird. I can't find any place to confirm if it will fit. Is a good price. I can always order a brand new from autozone for around $160.

    Thanks.

I thought I read somewhere that the truck alternators from 1999-2003 worked, but I could be wrong.

I recently had to replace mine after it took a dump on me. Turns out the brand-new one was bad, also, and had to get it replaced.

1999 - 2003 truck alternators will fit but some of them have different size bolts.

cant remember if i ever answered you....the AD244 fits great ....a lil tweaking of the power steering hose and the big 3 upgrade and your car will be soooooo happy ! I am on my 3rd f body now and either a AD 244 or even a Mechman alt is a must have for any f bod

junkyard alts are getting hard to find and remans are a crap shoot....google alternator man...he has a u tube channel ....he has complete new alts and parts for sale.....highly recommend him ..i did get a $$$ mechman alt...have yet to install it but cant wait to
