    alarm from opening door

so I've seen all the problems people are having with their VATS and etc. but in my case the alarm goes off when I open up the door. All of the lights flash on the car for a few minutes but it still allows the car to start everytime. I don't have a remote for the door locks, just the keys to unlock and lock. Not sure whether the VATS bypass would even work in my case or if its something different.

Pick up a remote, Link it and problem solved, you now have a functional alarm.

Yes they do, but it might be an option. My 1998 TA had the factory alarm as well as Too Fast. I think you can turn off the motion sensor, it explains how to in the owner's manual if I remember correctly.

you can also program the system to alarm after 5 seconds or so. This allows you open the door and put the key in the ignition to disarm it before it activates. This saves you 50 bux from the dealer.
