Will removeing the air pump set of the ses light? Or is it only when you remove all the air system?

Leaving it removed and thereby disabling the air pump system will set off a SES light.

^^^ If you remove the pump might as well just gut it all out..

The reason I asked is because I have no air pump but have no code. My car was in an accident recently and the air pump was damaged and I opted not to have it put back in, instead had the shop use the money for other stuff. I a local tuner that is good friends with the guy that owns the body shop so I guess he came by and deleted the code for me.

I've heard of people making a while before it sets the code.
