You need to tune it out of the PCM.

To remove the air pump you need to make some block off brackets or buy them. They are really cheap. Ws6 store sells them. Search under AIR or EGR delete. The pump has a crap ton of brackets/10mm bolts. There are under the drivers side flap where you can bulbs. 2 10mm bolts are all you need to gain accesss.

A tune by frost will fix the light... You will throw 2 codes otherwise.. I rock the SES light for now

I found a walk thru with pictures when I removed mine. As far as block off plates, I just made some out of sheetmetal until I got a new intake and LT headers with no AIR/EGR connections.

    It will.

I removed my egr/air last summer and had a guy spend a couple mins with his laptop to turn the codes off. I ran into him about 3 or 4 weeks later and asked if the ses was still off. That night it came on...dumb luck I guess. Used a code reader at an autoparts store and its the AIR code.
