What K&N should do is begin switching their product line over from cotton gauze to a heavy duty dry synthetic element like the AEM Dryflow/Amsoil Ea, otherwise they will be left behind. They would probably make enough money off the amount of people who trade in their cotton filters just for the convienence of not having to oil them to justify the cost of developing the new filter and lost profits from not selling oil kits.

I wish AEM would make a dryflow panel filter for our cars, I'd order one right now. Easy to clean, 99.52% dust filtration, no oil kits, high flow, count me in.
i am 100% with you wesman!! i have personlly seen and used both amsoil and dryflow and they kick ass. the dryflow is just alot different than the other filters out there

I cant seem to find one so I figure Id ask.
Is there either a AEM Dryflow or Amsoil Ea filter that would replace the Filter on a Moroso CAI for an LT1?
Would rather have one of these filters on my Moroso CAI.

Does any one know if you can do this kind of setup on an ls1 f-body? I thought there would be too much stuff in the way.

it can be done, i had one like it on my '98 v6. problem is it's too long. just get a ram air hood and go with the factory setup.. its better and easier and if you get a lid, you'll see most if not all of the gains that you would see from that more complicated setup pictured.

I plan on getting a hood, right after I find the magic pot of gold,

Any way, I plan to save money for a cowl hood. It's the style I would like to see on my car, maybe an SS hood, maybe.

jag thanks for the links, i'm reading them now.

i couldn't tell from the pic if the person removed anything. The only thing i noticed as the alt relocated. I figured it was probably something common with adding a turbo.
