Advice and Insight On 3rd Gen. Camaro?????
I have a friend that is going to be giving me a 1988 Camaro in the next week or so. It has a messed up front fender, hood, and front bumper damage. Its been sitting in a field and she never got around to fixing it. Being that I'm getting it for free it's just gonna be a slow project. Any advice, suggestions, or tips of things that need to be looked at on this car???? My biggest concern is the fact that its an automatic (prefer a manual), but it is what it is, anyways, I don't understand the whole concept of the stalls.........can anyone explain???? Thanks for all the help!!!!!!

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
I think the term "stall" involves the RPM the converter engages. I could be wrong. If the car has T-tops, they are prone to leaking. T-tops on 3rd gens are the only concern I know of.

If its a 88 tuneport and has been setting for a while upper intake gaskets just change them and actually in those cars i like the auto better even tho its a 700r4 the t5's those years sucked.

Yepp, there good cars, i have owned a few auto's and loved them, another plus is the fenders and hood and bumper can be picked up fairly cheap, just talk to your local body shop and ask them if they can order them and paint them and then you can slap them on. Doesnt take long. Just need a few long extensions.
J2001 SS, Its not the car its the Driver that matters....
