ABS Inop light

My 99 Z's ABS Inop light has recently come on. The ASR Off light comes on also. I am assuming I have a bad wheel speed sensor or something. Is it logical to think that it is a rear wheel sensor, since the ASR only works with the rear wheels? Is it possible I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about? HELP!

Found that one of the rear wheel sensors had gotten loose and melted against the exhaust. Spliced the wires, rerouted the wire loom, and started the car. No more ABS light!

Glad you found it. I was going to say make sure they're both plugged in tight, happened to a friend of mine after a dyno session.

Ya, mine happened shortly after I lowered the car. I think the wire got some slack in it, putting it dangerously close to the exhaust. Im glad I found it. I hate lights on the dash! Pet peeve!
