    ABS Inop

    Got a quick question for you guys. Lately, the ABS INOP light has been coming on intermittently. I haven't really noticed any driveability/stopping problems and the problem/indicator will not come on when I initially start the car, but comes on after driving for a few miles. I haven't used a scanner to see if I am actually throwing codes or not, but my question(s) is has anyone experienced a similar problem?? And if so, what does this normally indicate??     Top off brake fluid and chances are one of your sensors is failing or just needs cleaning.

    yeah, you can try to clean the wheel sensors and see if that helps you but it might just be a sensor or the abs unit itself failing. Getting the abs code would tell you quite a bit.

    Mine used to do this from time to time, cleaning sensors and connections fixed it...
