99 Trans Am PVC Help
I was just looking over my engine and noticed that my PVC hose has a giant tear in it .... Now I saw some posts' on how to fix this but none of them mentioned a wire going to the part .... am I looking at the wrong part?
The hose that I am looking at is on the passenger side and connects to the intake right below the middle, behind the TB. but there is a black wire connecting to it and I guess the other end is connected to the block .. any ideas'?

To me, that wire just seems to be there to support the weight of the PCV valve. The only other thing I could think of is that its a ground wire to draw away any static electricity build-up from the valve pulsing rapidly. But I've never seen a ground on any other PCV valve so I would assume its not necessary.
