Checked MAF voltage at idle 5.0 volts on one leg and 13.64 volts on the other, fuel pump showed 1.7 volts and 5.o volts all while car is idling. Got the same volt reading off the MAF harness when it was disconnected, all test were performed to ground.
Does this sound right? Not to me, but again I am a Ford tuner.

If I try and accelerate the throttle, or pump it so the car revs up some the MAF voltage drops from 5.0 volts down to 3.64 or more depending on how much I can get the engine to rev. Almost backwards to my thinking????

NAPA is where I get mine......and by the way that happens.....those GM MAFs do not like being unplugged and plugged back in....I've had to replace 2 of them doing the exact same thing you did. I reinstalled them after a cam swap or whatever and they just didn't work.....go figure....nothing you did or could have done differently...they just shit the bed for some reason...no explanation.

I should have disconnected the battery 1st, I knew better, but when its ur own car, we tuners have a different mind set when its ours. Everybody elses cars run better than ours, hahaha.

When it rains it pours! NOW the winshield wipers are stopping in the verticle position, what gives with this possessed car? My last Camaro was a 1969 SSRS and it was so easy to fix.

unplug the bug juice and see if that fixes it. If it does there's a post on here with detailed instructions on how to fix it. I'll have to find it, I was just reading it last night.

Well borrowed a MAF off another LS1 and its not the MAF. Car act the same with either MAF inline. There is a return fuel line that is wrapped in foil with a schrader valve in it marked Caution Fuel. Something about 1psi, should there be any fuel in that line? at any thime? This car acts like it vapor locked but I have tons of fuel flow thru the fuel rails. Only runs good when I pump the accelerator real fast.

I can physically drive the car with no MAF, or air box - throttle body only and it has some hesitation but drivable, where as it won't even move with it all hooked up. Gonna load it up on the trailer and take it to a friends shop and leave it, DANG BOW TIES.
