    85mm slp maf

    does it really add 10 hp? i currently have an intake catback and tune, will be looking into lt in the futurei88

    I wouldent mess with it I have heard they cause a lean condition which harms your motor and your stock maf with the screen still on it is good till like 500hp so with your small mods you wont see much gains.

    if it were me i would save my money and have the maf tuned out. it will flow alot better and one less thing to worry about.

    If you really want an 85mm maf I would suggest saving some coin and getting a used one off a truck. Then you can get it tuned along with your other mods. The SLP MAF is just a truck maf with a resistor soldered in to try and mimic the factory maf curve. Usually not very well.

    I have met folks who say stick with the factory MAF and if you want more airflow, go with a speed density tune which deletes the MAF and recalibrates the PCM to run without it.
