yes they can. there are magnachargers for F-bodies. I have seen GTOs, vettes with roots style magnacharger and whines like terminators. not as loud but they still whine.

How do they fit those under the dash? You would have to cut the car or have a really really low back end of the supercharger, im talking the supercharger must be under 5 inches in height to fit in a f-body

ok..simply put you'll need to stroke out a 6.0 or the ls1..so you'll be running 408+. then from that look into heads...the mongooses are nice..something in the 225cc range , 1.7-1.8 rocker arms...all the goodies there..like better hydrolic lifters.. a very healthy cam...you will NEED a fast 90/90 combo...the ls6 with the stock tb will start to limit you real quick...from that some 1-7/8 stepped to 2" headers...and dumped..or a good flowing catback....along with all this forged internals are a must. then after all that and some serious tunning..you should be hella close..then throw a s/c on it and watch yourself have one of the nastiest f-bod around.

...well ed is still running on a stock 10 bolt...along with some others who are pushing some serious numbers...but as we all know..in general 10 bolts will break easily around 350-400rwhp...same can be said with your friends...i envy them..they got some nice internals

The cheapest way to hit 500rwhp without using NOS has to be a slightly built motor with a supercharger or turbo setup, Hitting 500rwhp N/A is gonna get pricey. With a good FI cam, intake manifold, bolt ons and a 6-9psi setup you can make 550rwhp pretty easily. 500rwhp is a pricey number, if you said, 430-450rwhp, thats heads, cam botl on setup and you can hit that, but 500 with a N/A motor you will need more than a 350 and or high comp ratio, If you wanted to use a stock ls1 block and bottom end i think you would need a very big cam with a very low drivability

tell you what if we are gonna speak about crank HP numbers, my cobra was around 540-550hp and T-56 held great. I know a guy here who has whipple blower since 10k miles and he made 600rwhp / 600rwtq and the car has 90k miles on now and it has 400+ track passes and they are mostly 10 sec passes and he has stock t-56. and i wanna mention this which is off topic, I am surprised, he has yet to even open valve covers.

he doesn't powershift. he only speed shifts.

I have powershifted all the time.

check my video out. I shifted just like that everytime i raced and i have yet to have a tick from my tranny and my power level was 455rwhp -478rwtq

Build it N/A. You'll have the satisfaction that you whomped a boosted car with nothing but motor.

your right..it is off topic. i was saying..to comment that a stock term has a t-56 so it will last you into 500+...well thats really pushing it. secondly i wonder how similar the f-bod t-56 is to the terms..internally wise.

My T-56 has taken somewhat of a beating, with 345rwhp being applied to it often, but 600rwhp for 90k miles. Sounds like BS to me, let me drive his car i bet i can break that tranny within 3 days, not even miss shifting just shifting hard.

Well I know when I was talking with SixSpeedinc they were confident in the t56 taking up to 700 hp with their rebuild which is basically the same parts but using carbon blockers and brass fork pads. 700 hp was just the number for their warranty on a basic rebuild they do have people running much higher then that. So basically I am just saying in a very long winded fashion the t56 is a solid tranny, even without a few upgrades, but if I were pushing that much power I would defiantly be keeping a solid rebuild in mind.

I have seen built T-56s crack under 500hp when used in drag cars at the track often, hes talking about a T-56 that has had 600rwhp on it for 80k miles. Thats unheard of

well dude, you always sound like you know the best, you are always right. I suggest you sign up to a cobra forum and ask them their power level and what tranny they have and you will find the answer and you will learn one more thing about cars!
