4l60e for 93 camaro in a yukon?
my brothers 95 yukon just blew a tranny and i saw a rebuilt 4l60e out of a 93 camaro for sale for cheap...would that work in a 95 yukon? i would assume its the same 4l60e and just different bellhousings?

It will take some parts swapping to make it work if the yukon is 4wd.

it should fit, even the bell housings will match up, those models have the non-removal bell housting. its part of the case that is cut at a slant and has the removable dust cover for the turbo decabulator. if the yukon is fo by fo then you gotta some werk to do

haha yea it is fo by fo...is it stuff that can just be swapped over from the old one tho?

yes an no, the entire tail shaft will have to be replaced along with the the output shaft and any other parts that are attached to the back end of the tranny from the yukon.

swap in a 700r4 from a 92 or older truck or suv, (these can be had for about 550 newly rebuilt w/ convertor)... no electronics to f with...
