    Your flywheel will bolt up just fine. As Shady said, if you can find an LQ9, that would be even better because they come with the flat top pistons and already have 10:1 compression with the stock 317 heads but an LQ4 will do you just fine. With the money your saving from buying an LS1, throw some nice heads on it and you'll be good to go.

    just bought myself a rebuilt LQ9 out of a 2005 escalade.ported,polished and milled 317 heads.will be using my LG G5X1 cam,LS6 intake and long tube headers.cant wait to try her out

    i just started my car with the 6.0,but the car doesnt run good at all,it was backfiring,wasnt taking its gas,i stopped it and now i have no fire.i put all my sensors off the 5.7,should i have put all the sensors off the 6.0,like the crank sensor,cam sensor?

    was your old engine stock?? i see that you have upgrades in this new engine.....may have to get a tune just to get it started....

    i changed the cam sensor and it started but still runs like crap,when it wants to start.i basically have the same as what i had in my old engine except maybe a little bigger cam,but not much.how do i get it tuned anyway?

    you should have it towed to a dyno tuner so they can make the proper tuning for optimal performance...

    think of it like this..your pcm right now expect 5.7 liters ..so its ve tables and such are set up to mix so much fuel according to the air..obviously you are bringing in more air and as such need more fuel to mix. also with a different cam in there it scuews things even more. get a tune asap. dont try to run it anymore until you get it tuned.

    thanks guys..looked at it again and had forgot to hook up 1 ground in back of the motor.hooked it up and it started right away,sounds awesome.will be getting it tuned once i find a place around here that can do that
