Black- 2010 Custom Rock Buggy
2005 CTS-V Info Needed
First off, this is my first post here. I am not new to vehichles, fabrication, or engines...but I am totally new to computer controlled engines...specifically LS based. I am currently swapping a 2005 CTS-V LS6 into my rock buggy. I am having some issues figuring out all my parameters. I am using a Holley HP 550-602 harness and computer kit. Quest #1: I need to know the stock injector psi and flow rate to enter into the tune software. Quest #2: I have a Quicktime RM6093 Midplate. I could not get the 168T flexplate past the midplate during the install. Am I missing something? The pulled engine was a 1973 427 TD with a 168T flexplate, so I thought it would all work. Thank you in advance for your help.

Welcome to the site!
Had a chance to play with and help tune a rock buggy a while back - they are amazing machines. I can pull up a stock tune for an '05 CTS-V through an on-line tune repository and it shows these injector flow numbers at the stated kPa of manifold vacuum:
29.08 at 0 kPa
29.33 at 5
29.51 at 10
29.70 at 15
29.89 at 20
30.01 at 25
30.20 at 30
30.38 at 35
30.57 at 40
30.75 at 45
30.94 at 50
31.06 at 55
31.25 at 60
31.44 at 65
31.56 at 70
31.75 at 75
31.93 at 80
Stock injector rating is 28 lbs/hr at 3 bar. That translates to around 33.9 lbs/hr at 58 psi and the GM P/N on the stock injectors should be 12569113. I can verify this in my books tomorrow if something doesn't look right to you.

Thanks for the quick reply. As I said before, I have experience in other things but none in computer controlled fuel injection or LS Engines. So you have to dumb it down for me. Is 33.9lbs and 58psi what I should enter into the Holley tune software for my injector info? Or is it the 28lbs you said was at 3 bar (I don't know what 3 bar means). Thanks again for the assistance. By the way, I keep tying to post a pic of my buggy and it keeps denying it saying that new posts are limited in the number of URLs, but there are no URLs yet?!

Host your pics on sites like Photobucket and then copy and paste the [IMG] code into your post on here. I think the site security settings were tweaked a while back due to spammers so you may need to meet the 10 day/10 post rule before the pics will be allowed.
I am not sure of the format that your tuning software wants for an input. A stock LS engine fuel system supplies fuel at 58 psi. The LS6 injectors have a 3 bar rating (43.5 psi) of 28 lbs/hr. However, increasing the pressure also increases the flow. You can see that in the charts on this site: Stan Weiss' - Electronic Fuel Injector (EFI) Flow Data Table The Delphi injectors are listed about halfway down the page and then Rochester/GM is further on down. The engine management software should have a scaling function for use with different fuel pressures.
