    2002 camaro Z-28

    2002 Z-28 Camaro

    I am having a random missfire code pop up at high RPM'S.it only throws random misfire cylinder #8 at high rpms.when rpm's reach about 6000 it throws code.changed plugs ,wires,coils. dont know what else to do.can anyone help . thanks

    Have you checked the harness that connects to the coil on cyl #8? That connector could be loose or on the way out. How many miles do you have?

    Had the same thing happen 3 weeks ago when I had the plugs changed. the #8 wire wasn't on properly. Made a U turn and they reached in there and snugged it on. Code gone and happy me.

    checked and replaced harness to coils ,checked plugs wires and every thing.only happens at over 6000 rpms.

    Also try swapping coils and see if the codes jumps to the other. If it doesn't then it a bad injector.
