Black- 2002 Trans Am
2001 WS6 or 2002 WS6?
I am currently looking at 2 different black WS6's. One is a 2001 with 10,000 miles, and the other is a 2002 with 23,000 miles. They both have identical options. Which one should I go with? Were there any significant changes made in 2002? Will the 2002 be worth more in 20 years? Thanks in advance.

hmmmmmm i think it is a lil high... but then again T/A prices have gone crazy lately... i was having trouble finding one at a descent price...
and i totally understand.... but are you gonna drive teh car? garage queen? track car?.... i wanted an 02, but when i found out the t/a MIGHT come back i hated to pay extra for an 02 and then it not be the last year...
if you just want an 02 for value only dont do it... get the 01... but if you are like me and just had to have an 02 get the 02...

I'll drive it a few times a week, and garage it during the winter. I'll keep it out of the rain and stuff. I wanted an 02 because they're the newest, but the 01 has 10,000 miles less. I don't know...

go with the '01. lower miles is the best. closet to a new car one can get thats 5 yrs old. other might say go with the last model year, but in the end its your choice. as for the price in 20 yrs, thats only going to be what someone is willing to pay for it...

When I had mine tuned the guy told me he really liked the 02 computer. Didn't ask him anything about the difference in 02 and the others but suspect you'll never notice unless your actually doing the tuning.

Fewer '01's
I also vote for the 2001. From what I have seen and read here at LS1 I believe the 2001 year production run ended in May 2001 where they got an early start on the 2002 models due to the anniversary models, etc.. There are less 2001 models which might make a difference some day way in the future. $22,500 seems like a fair price if it is 'like new'. You can't go wrong either way. Good luck!
