Thanks guys, this information is pretty much exactly what I needed.

With those done, what do you think the added rwhp would be? Maybe how much time off of a 1/4 mile?

should take you to the high 12 sec 1/4mile at around 105 to 108ish mph. Should add anywhere from 20 to 30 rhwp. Some get more, some get less. Quarter mile time/mph is a better indicator of performance gains, then a dyno number

Have you had a fast car like this before?

The car will be as reliable as how you drive it. Nothing stupid like neutral drops, endless donuts on dry pavement, revving over 6100 with stock internals. Just drive it smoothly and it will last.

The LS1 is a hugely reliable piece, but the differential not so much. Some have blown up the diff on stock power, others needed drag radials to do it, others have been running 11s on it!

Lots of good advice above about mods.

Nope, never had a fast car like this before. I never rev the engine, no need to be on the gas if it isn't in gear... no donuts... never do neutral drops... basically everything I just said I never do.. is because its pretty stupid stuff.

At least you seem to realize that. You're already ahead of many young guys with performance cars! It's all about sensible fun!

WHEW! Glad to see you sound like you drive responsibly. Your cars should last. There are times and places to get on it tho, but don't wrap it around any trees! We don't want to lose one more of the last of the breed.
