2000 Camaro Will not Idle

HELP! My 2000 Z-28 just died while I was at a red light. I will not idle or start unless I give it gas. When it is running its rough and as soon as I take my foot off the gas it dies. Any Ideas? Thanks!

Check engine light on? Bad gas? Any mods? Auto or 6 spd?

Clean Maf yet? If not, CRC MAF cleaner at your auto parts store

Check engine light came on,,, no mods ,, auto.

Take it to an auto zone and have them check the PCM engine codes

No but it's worth a try. I was thinking more of the throttle position sensor.

It running rough is odd, i wouldn't expect the TPS

Your best bet is to pull the code or codes so we can direct ya further. is the light flashing or just steady on?

was flashing at first now steady on. I am going to get a code reader tomorrow.

Keep a can of MAF cleaner handy anyway. Just to be safe. Could be minor.

Picked up a Innova 3100 today and got the following codes P0174, P0171, P0101 and P0300. Loading the software now..

P0174- system to lean bank 2
P0171- system to lean bank 1
P0101- maf circuit range
P0300- random multiple misfire
Check the connections on the Maf and pull it off and clean with some CRC Maf cleaner, Just curious but what air filter are you running?

I had a feeling you would say that, clean the maf because its coated in oil from the filter, then toss it in the trash and pick up a simple paper filter from the parts store. They flow the same and provide the same amount of protection.

If you really want a nice reusable one go for an amsoil AE filter
vaccum and its clean and you don't have to oil it
If not a paper one is your best bet
