I use a 2 step on an older 4 speed car. I tapped into the neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal along with a small hidden toggle switch to turn it on or off. I use a digital 6 MSD ignition box with the 2 step built in though, and it has a single wire hookup. Very simple.

I haven't seen what is made for the 4th gens,,,but you should be able to use the clutch pedal switch. That's where it needs to be. Probably have to look at schematics to see what wires go where etc...as there is part of the cruise control function as well as neutral safety, and who know what else GM has wired in there,,,lol.

I have a service manual I just can't find any wires that turn hot when the clutch is pushed in, thought about putting my own switch in but we all no how much room is under the dash!

The switch may close a ground. If this is the case, adding a simple relay could create the circuit you need.
