1st to 2nd Slip?
I recently had my codes read at a local auto store, and amongst the codes was a transmission one...read something like p1870, and said manufacturer control transmission...i was wondering if anyone else has ever gotten this code, and if so what is it, and how can it be fixed.

Artic White- 00 SS Vert.
The code is for a component slip.
If your trans. doesn't have many miles on it, you might be able to replace the valve body. If the trans. has a lot of miles, it'll need rebuilding/replacement.

p1870 is a common code that pops off with a stall converter or shift kit-If you have either one of these it may be a false code--If you don't have these mods then you may have a trans slipping problem--
