    1998 ls1 versus 2000 ls1 differences

I am installing an LS1 in a 1960 Corvette. The engine is out of a 2000 Camaro Z28. I also bought a complete engine out of a 1998 Camaro. (sensors, injectors, pcm, engine wiring harness.) I swapped all the electronics onto the 2000. I plan on using the 1998 above listed parts. My question is, will I run into any issues when I try to start the car?

    Just clarifying:

The 2000 is a block only, Correct?

Yes. 2000 is long block no electronics . All sensors, coils came off of 1998 motor.

As long as they are in good shape they should work. I would recommend getting the 99< knock sensor and wire harness to swap over. The 99< is a better sensor. If you already have the 99< knock sensor then you just need the wire harness. Goes for $35

Look at post 14, you will see the 2 black covers with wires coming out. Those are the knock sensors.

Yes you could use the 98's but as they age they give false knock readings.
