    They work very well, which is why you still see them in heavy duty applications like the trucks for example that see alot of heavy hauling and towing. GM still uses them for a reason.
    Yeah well I'm the polar op.. Never seen one that was worth a d$ck, or the extra drag, or worked for sh&t..

    The 160's are great if you live in Houston like me where it's always hot as hell. One the 1 or 2 days it drops below 40 degree's I lose my heater of course I don't worry about it since it isn't a DD and it's really never cold. A 180 is good if you have warm summers and cold winters.
    I'm not sure if you really get alot of extra HP from one but when you run your car hard with a 100 plus degrees the car would have overheated with a stock stat and even with a 160 with the a/c on and pushing it the car heats up to close to stock temps when I lived in MA.
