    11s? street tires?

Hey guys, what sort of mods to a Trans Am M6 do i need to be able to run a high/mid 11 in the 1/4 on drag radials, yet still have decent street manners?

    welcome to the site.

You will need a new rearend if you do accomplish this more than a few times.

High to mid 11's with a M6 is easily in range with a stock block and without nitrous or forced induction.

There are a number of way to get there, however here's a proven combo:

    1. Heads (AFR 205's, TFS 215's or a budget swap for the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads)
    2. Cam (Plenty of viable 224 - 228 options out there with GREAT street manners. Check out the Trick Flow cam in my signature, that would work well also)
    3. Intake (LS6 intake or a FAST 90/90 or 92/92 combo)
    4. Full exhaust -- long tube headers + cat back (and perhaps a cutout)
    5. A good tune after installing everything
    6. Drag radials
    7. While it is possible to get into the 11's on the stock clutch and rear end, I can assure you that it won't last long!

One other alternative would be to get a set of drag radials and a 150 shot of N20. Provided you can drive a M6 well, you shouldn't have any trouble dropping a high 11!

nitrous would be way cheaper than most of that stuff

your looking at 5xx to the wheels + there are no street manners with that much h/p and tq with the f-bod...good luck tho..its expensive and traction is the biggest issue. nitrous is one of the best solutions..but a full system ect will be close to 2k ..and no stock 10 bolt will make it into the 11s...especially with the t-56
