Here's about all I have right now and these are a few months old. We've since started prepping the body to lift off the frame and just about finished the rolling chassis. Hopefully the fuel pump that arrived this week will clear the frame (I told him to go with an electric one!) and we'll fire it up this weekend.

The '55 before we started the tear down:

Me tearing out all the wiring and interior- completely rewiring it with a Painless 18 cir kit- may be Painless, but it's still a pain in the arse! This is the second Painless kit I've installed:

    The motor:

I'll see if I can't snap a few more pics tomorrow.

I looked good before the tear down. What are you doing to the body?

Looks can be quite deceiving! No rust on the body- little bondo here and there, but the floor is like swiss cheese. We're replacing the entire pan (through to the trunk) and then we'll hold off on the rest of the body for now so we can make some room for our other project- 69 Camaro with a 502. Some parents live vicariously through their kids, this kid lives vicariously through his dad!

    Nice car.

But I meant start a new thread, didn't mean to thread jack this one. Mods will if it happens too much.

    Again, Nice car

Sounds like its in capable hands. I'll keep an eye out for later pics. Not usually a fan of the tri-fives, but that car looks great. Clean and simple with not too much chrome.

nah, I had a 99 z28 with 109k on the clock. I drove a 98 TA with 136k on the clock. The TA had the usual bolt ons and pulled very strong. That sucker even made all kinds of noises, and ran like a champ. You would swear they were not "high mileage" cars.

    go for it, .
