$1,500 to spent on my car

i have a 01 Trans Am A4, i have 1500 to spent on my car, looks or bolt ons. i have Headers, SLP Intake, SLP Tuner, Full 3" Exhaust.
I was thinking of getting a Intake Mainfold to replace the stock 75mm Ls6 intake mainfold with something like 102mm or 96mm.

Stall converter and some rear suspension upgrades would be at the top of my list if I were you.

What were your 60ft times? most likely you will be low 8's with just a stall.

Stall, really good tune and tires. Suspension if anything is left over. That's if your et is your immediate goal.

You really won't see that much of a gain over the LS6 intake unless you are coupling that new intake with a cam/heads.

I'd go for a stall and tranny cooler. If you don't have them already, sub-frame connectors also.

Add a stall, get that 60' down into a 1.7 and you'll be in the 7's easily.

Yup without a doubt. Make sure when you do the stall you get the biggest tranny cooler you can fit. And its a good idea to put a trans temp gauge in so you can keep an eye on things.

You don't need 400rwhp to get a 1.7 60'. The 60' time with a A4 is all based off the converter setup and gears IMO. A good converter or better gears will drop that 60' period. A 3500 converter would be a good start with a stock cam. But you could do the same with 3.73's gears. The stock 10 bolt while good tends to not last long. So I would save the money for a 12 bolt or 9" IMO. With just a 3500 converter and headers (minus cats and exhaust dropped at the axle) you should see 1.7 60's.....

It will take larger than a 228 cam to get you to 400rwhp without heads. IMHO

It lets you flash your rpms much higher before the car is going to pull itself forward. It's a night and day difference in an auto car...
