    Took 4 pulls

Made 301 rwhp and 350 rwtq. Mods are a K&N Cold Air intake and Magnaflow Catback exhaust. The first and second pulls the car started to jump the dyno. On the third pull they had a person sit in the trunk and lowered the rear tire pressure which didn't work and started to jump again. They put a second person in the trunk and it was good after that.

Pretty good tq numbers with just an intake and catback.

Do you have a graph of it?

What rpms are your peak numbers at?

Depending on miles and such, those numbers are not that good

The good news is that it isn't your car more then likely. A car with that power level shouldn't be jumping on the dyno. Whoever strapped it down didn't do it 100% right and your losing power there. This is my educated guess

EDIT: Also I guess it depends on the dyno (Mustang, Dynojet) also

301/350 hp/tq out of a pretty much STOCK LT1 is impressive if not out of this world....but then again a dyno can say whatever you want it to say.

Were they 2nd gear pulls and not drive?

They were doing 4th gear pulls. And my stock intake has rat crap, twigs, and pine needles all bunched up in there because about 6 months before I bought the car, there were rats nesting in my engine compartment.

So you guys did the pulls in OD? You are an automatic right?

Have any other "stock" cars from that dyno to put your numbers in perspective?

My buddy has a '95 z28 that is stock and it made 212 HP and 220ish TQ. But he had to replace the engine with another LT1 out of a Buick roadmaster so he lost some power because of the steel heads. And yes my car is an A4.

Isnt 4th gear in an A4 over-drive? I thought that you would do a pull in the gear that is closest to or is 1 to 1? OD would be .7 so thus the power level would be skewed? Is my thinking correct? If anything it would a low reading correct, correct?

Most LT1s I have seen are lucky to break past 250hp at the rear tires in stock form. Though some have they are few and far between. However with some LT4 parts they can be quite fierce.

If I'm not mistaking I think I have 3:23 gears but i could be wrong. A4s might be a tad smaller than that. And for the A4 cars, there is a "transmission perform" button that would act as an overdrive. If you are right about very few cars breaking 250hp almost stock, then I must have one amazing car.

Its they are rated at 300 hp (give or take its close enough) and figure 18% driveline loss with an auto and probably 15% for a manual its just pretty odd to find one that dynos higher than its rating.

Check your door code for the information on your rear gear. Or you can back in to it with math. Around 1400 rpms at 55 with 2.73s if I am not mistaken and 3.23 would be close to 1650 at the same mph.

Its not completely stock. It has a cold air intake and a magnaflow catback.

You are correct. A DYNO pull should be done in whatever transmission gear ratio is 1:1 or closest to.

Air intake + Cat back equals louder exhaust and louder sucking sound from under the hood.

94 Trans Am GT's came stock with 275 horsepower. (I bought one brand new in 1994, and it had every single possible option except the 12 disk CD changer - I researched the hell out of it before buying it)

The auto equipped cars came with 2.73's unless you selected "performance axle" when it was ordered, and then it came with 3.23's.

All of the M6 cars came with 3.42's if I am not mistaken.

With the minor mods that are listed, I am hard pressed to believe it made 300+ hp to the wheel.

Sorry OP. 60 rwhp is not reasonable for a "factory freak" with the mods you've listed. (most made about 240 to the wheel in stock form)

Also, the "transmissioin perform" button has nothing to do with making a certain gear of the transmission "act as overdrive". Where did you come up with that?
