I have my car back on the road with a new cam, ported heads, and long tube headers. The car is running well, but I am a little disappointed in the RWHP: 364HP.
The shop that does my work tells me that my A4 and 19 inch wheels lower the numbers. I understand the A4, but the 19 inch wheels lowering HP does not make sense to me. Can someone explain this?

Well now, 364 RWHP is nothing to sneeze at. You do understand that anything that contributes to inertia (heavy, 19 inch wheels) lowers available power to the ground, right? I would bet your wheels wiegh 25% more than stock wheels, unless they are forged. I think forged wheels are lighter than cast. Same thing with an iron driveshaft vs. aluminum vs. carbon fiber. The less rotating mass to absorb HP, the better. Heavy wheels also rob braking distance, MPG, ride quality and acceleration. So, to go with bigger wheels, get a lower overall weight per wheel than the stock wheels are.

man dont feel bad about those numbers. They sound pretty good. If you take into consideration a4 drivetrain loss of about 20% your motor is pushin right around 437hp not bad for minor engine upgrades

Thankyou, that does make sense. I guess I read so many big hp numbers on this forum, I am a little envious.
Next up will be a Procharger and a CF driveshaft, many then someone will envy me.

I am running an Old Man's Cam (Crane) with Crane Gold 1.8 Roller Rocker Arms. The air temp was 65F and the altitude is 300ft. A Dynojet Research Dyno.

Well, go to the drag strip. That is where the real numbers are put down. My best this past year was a 12.89 @ 109.9. I was hoping for 110 MPH, I got close. I am shooting for 12s and over 110 on my slow nights and keeping my over 28 MPG @ 75 MPH. I ran 7x that night, all 109.x and 13.0-13.2x. No slicks. You can see how much faster than I you are, at the drag strip. You should be deeper in the 12s than I.

is it stock or high stalled? 364 through an A4 is nothing to sneeze at for sure you should be deep into the 12's on stock stall possibly high 11's with a good stall and DR's. Run it thats what counts not RWHP thats for those dyno queen supras .

I dyno'd 353 rwhp cam and bolt ons. I have a vig 3600. Before the cam on a different dyno was 285 rwhp bolt ons only. 469 rwhp/548 rwtq on a dry 150 shot.

No times since the cam, but ran a best N/A of 12.62 and 11.36 on spray

if i remember right that cam has a very flat power and torque curve not very peaky like an ms4 or something of that nature. I think it will be a very stout 364 if you know what i am saying.

Now is the season for bench racing.

I have a few more things to add before I head for the strip in the Spring. A stall and a driveshaft among them. My goal is to run in the 11's, an 11.99 would do. I wonder if I have enough power to do that.I am running 3.23 gears, and an Eaton Posi, and no slicks.

Well I would be happier than a pig in (*&^ at your #'s. I just had mine dyno'd, mind you it was on a mustang dyno, and my car only produced 270rwhp. Now The guys at this shop told me there was a 35-40% drivetrain loss and that my car was at 380hp at the crank. What a bunch of crap! I laughed at them. The guy there kept asking me if I had done anything to my car. He was really surprised by the crank hp. Take it for what it is worth, who really knows what our cars are producing. Who can you trust?

I don't wanna be a nay sayer but I think that's a pretty lofty goal for your mods. No stall, no slicks, and 3.23 gears doesn't look like an 11 sec car to me but don't take my word for it. Go run it and see how you do. I would like to take a wild guess though and say 12.4ish. I'd love to see you prove me wrong though so post up what you actually run.

Mine only hit 391rwhp on motor with a 6 speed with a bigger cam, so dont feel bad. So I added a couple things and hopefully I will hit 400 next dyno out. I am hoping for 500 on spray. I hit 469 on spray last visit. I have pics of my last dyno in the link below.

considering the omc is not a big cam, your numbers sound good to me.
