04 GTO and 00 TA stock dynos

About a year ago, I dynoed my bone stock 04 GTO A4, and it put out 276 rwhp. I have since sold it and just a few weeks ago dynoed my 00 TA A4. It dynoed 276rwhp. This surprised me, as the GTO is rated at 350 hp and the TA 305. Are the TA's that underated? This was the same shop and the same dyno. I am not too sure about the weather, but I don't think the temp was a whole lot different.

yeah thats a lil low but as far as the two compared...gm just rated them at 350 so they sold better...the engine is identical down to every last bit to ur t/a's ls1...except for the gto fuel rail covers...and yes they did underate them that much

The GTO is rated higher for the same reason as the corvette, they both came from the factory with true dual exhaust. The f-body LS1's didn't. They came with a y-setup. Sure, they are the same engine, just set up differently. That's like giving one fuctional ram air from the factory and giving the other a restrictive air box. Same engine, different setups.
