I plan on voting for Paul in the primary too, but the chances of the GOP candidate being Mitt is hugely high. Newt got his ass kicked in Florida and historically, the candidate who wins Florida, wins the primary.

Between newt and Mitt who and why would you vote for? I gotta say I am very unsure, both have ideas and thought paths that I do no agree with or follow in many cases. Mitt is the Repub candidate that all the old school GOP wants to see. He does things the way tehy want, how they want. He likes big money and corporatism, he falls into the same mold and direction this country has been going to for the past 100 years.

We've had four primaries. Out of those four, we've had three different winners. So far this race has been less than predicable.

I'll vote for whoever is not Obama, be that Mitt, Newt, Ron Paul, Captain Crunch, or Dora The Explorer. They can't be any worse.

This country can't survive 4 more years of his drunken sailor spending on BS that punishes those that contribute and rewards those that leech.

That said, maybe I'll open up a green energy company and get a grant before November gets here. I hear it's pretty lucrative if you just donate a little to O's campaign.

I will vote for whoever isn't Obama as well but with these candidates I could see them being pretty bad for the country as well.

Do we have an ideal candidate? Nowhere near.

Do we have candidates who are better qualified than BHO, the least qualified individual in any room he enters? Absolutely

I'm not counting Newt out yet either. I know of 12 states Romney isn't going to win. Santorum needs to head to the house, Paul will stick around because he's got nothing better to do with his time now.

I'm not really counting anyone out at this point. So far, every time I turn around, someone else has the lead

Mitt has the money and will be the GOP nominee. It doesn't matter that three different candidates have won among the four primaries we've had so far.

kahanna is right, ...despite the LSM and the idiot "political analysts/commentators" (cough, krauthammer), who've had to eat plenty of crow over the last few months, ...this race has been very dynamic. i like the competetion, ..it will work out the kinks and prepare the party and eventual nominee for battle...

that's a ridiculous statement... the "status quo", which is way overused catch phrase, ...has undergone a major paradigmn shift from 4yrs ago...

the new "status quo" is an executive suing states over immigration/border enforcement, a radical "social-justice" driven DOJ who ignores flagrant law breaking by "protected classes", .."fast-n-furious"; a international gun trafficking scheme w/ zero traceback mechanisms nefariously designed to sway public opinion toward their rabid anti-2nd amendment agenda, ...trillions of dollars in defeceit rate, a hugely biased energy agenda weighted on pouring money into less-than viable technologies and cronies (solyndra, etc.), suing states over voter ID laws, unconstitutional non-recess recess appointments, 24/7/365 class warfare, and packing federal courts (including SCOTUS) w/ leftists...

...even w/ romney, things would thankfully take a big turn... if you value your "individual" rights, you'd realize the courts (judge appointments) are a critical issue coming up, and why the commie-in-chief must be fired.

I think he was refering to the status quo of the GOP candidates. Same big power, big money backed assholes as before with rich friends whispering in there ears. Mitt is not a conservative, he and Obama agree on issues. I do value my individual rights but nothing Romeny has said or done says he gives a shit about them. Or did I miss something?

How cna you believe the things he says when his track record has shown he doesnt even agree with most of what he says.

I heard he was going to make some sort of announcement today. Wasn't sure whether it would be an endorsement or an announcement of his running as an Independent.

We've got a lot of states yet to go people

i agree, mitt is not a true conservative in the slightest, and he's a fish-flopper... ..the key difference is which "side" has sway, ...the neo commies ("progressives", unions, etc) have sway w/ hussein, ...interests on the right (tea party, pro-2A, chamber commerce, etc.) will have sway w/ an R POTUS, regardless of who it is,

... when you're in a high-stakes tug-of-war match, ...simply holding line, let alone, moving the rope toward your "side", is progress...

Right the rich friends will sway him away from some of these socialist ideas but tehy will also sway his policies towards coprotism and away from true capitalism.
