There's a paddle shift kit available for our car :-O now this I could be very interested in.
I'm going to try googling around for info on it, but if anyone has any experience with it, or any info on it, I'd be greatful.

its not a paddle shifter, but you could get a Transgo manual shift shift kit, B& M megashifter (ratchet shift) and 3,800-4,000 stall.
with practice it could be deadon consistant

Sorry guys, I don't quiet follow.
So if I put my A4 in 2nd, it'll start off in 1st, shift itself to 2nd, then if I redline it in 2nd, will it keep reving and damage something ? Or will it shift itself into 3rd to stop any damage ?

No, if you put your car in 2nd it will start off in second and it will stay there. But it won't overrev, there is a limiter that will kick in around 6200rpm or so.

you can only rev your motor to the set fuel cutoff (rev limiter). IF you have fuel cutoff set at the correct rpm you won't do any damage.
1st mod for any racing should be a better set of valve springs

I will say that with your stock valve springs you shouldn't bounce it off the rev limiter all day.
hopefully this weekend I'll know how the full manual built a4 with a 3,800 stall works
