They are said to grab pretty good....but I have not driven one myself.

But of course...if you rev to 5500 and dump the clutch, you aren't going anywhere.

I have video of me beating a lightly modded C5 Z06. Not really fair though. Much more $$ into mine.

They run mid to low 12's ALL day out here in AZ. in the 100 degree weather.

YOU CAN HAVE A 10 SECOND CAR BUT WITH A SHITTY DRIVER IT WILL RUN 12'S FOR MONTHS AT THE TRACK!!!!!

If I ever get my camera back from Sony I'll download some video of my Goat spanking Z06's all day on 17's.

Been in this guys shoes with an 03' Zoh6 .

Knew I had to launch easy and did just that but was moving pretty good and got cocky and crammed 2nd hard and went up in smoke and sideways right there. ( I had fun on that run anyway but needless to say I lost.)

But the first , second , or third time has to happen sometime to gain the needed experience to drive the car properly.

I'm sure other people enjoyed beating him for now.

His best run , when it hit 2nd he went sideways hard. the thing that bugs me the most is I don't have his money. He brought 2 cars to the track that day and was racing against his ZO6 in his Lambo. This guy is loaded. Both awesome cars.

I shouldn't sound so cocky myself......I 60' the week before at 2.3.......Someone else needs driving lessons and tires.

Ranger today (11/4/06) ran a 10.85 @ 129.50 with ONLY drag radials in his 06Z06. There was a guy in a Z who was posting on another forum saying he got out of his runs because of a poorly prepped track, while a few F bodies 'owned' him with low 12 runs, I believe he thinks his Z will go mid 10s providing good conditions.

Poor guy driving in the 12s and 13s definately needs some practice LOL, balls to take it to a track though!

You'd be at least in the 10's at sea level. And that 402 is BUILT to the gills. Isn't the only thing left stock on your TA the brakes?
