    Who would win?

I am planning on racing my friend at the track. He has a 2007 BMW M roadster coupe manual vs. my 99 Z28 A4. My mods include Hooker LT, ORY, ram air, flowmaster cat back, custom tune, 160 degree thermostat and 2:73 gears. Unfortunately I am running stock 16 inch 245 stock rears. I have a set of 3.73 gears and an LS6 intake waiting to be installed.

What are your thoughts? Should I win?

you should win...even without the extra gears... as long as you hook....

that M should be a 13.7sec car...on a good day... maybe... so... just run him and good luck

Those bmw m roadsters only run a 13.4ish quarter mile. Hell stock, the z28 is faster. With your mods, you should easily beat him, especially with you running the a4 (no room for driver error). Well, as long as you don't sit there and spin through first.

its funny the bmw came up on this post, there was that exact car on the track today, and was running low 14's best, might hold the first 35 ' but then your gone.

i honestly thought it was a joke at the track

No problem, you should win. I had an M3, and in a straight run, 1/4 mile, it was not the fastest. Just dont try him on a curvy road.
