When doing burnouts?

Im an a4. So what gear should i be in when i do a burn out when im drag racing. Or does it even matter? Ive always been in D(3rd) but im not sure if this is right.

od i always do for burn outs. but D should be OK.

and to add ro your topic, some say to race in D casue they say they never reach 4th on the TRACK, but from what i heard the computer hifts better on OD for the track.

D is better for when someone is next to you on the street IMO
