What's going to break first
Just got the 3:73's and 3000 stall put in the Camaro. My question is... What's going to break first? The whole attitude of the car has changed, it leaves hard now and I figure somethings gonna give.
I'm taking it to the track saturday, I'll post some times Sunday.

Your car is an automatic, and autos are less likely to break the rearend. If you had a manual car i'd say the rear end. Then again the 4L60 leaves alot to be desired, and i've heard they tend to break.
It's either that or your posi unit. In all likelihood I don't think anything is gonna break for awhile. These cars are built pretty solid. It's not like you are trying to drag race a honda.

I would say the rear, but then again Ed with his 700 rwho stroked, blown, and sprayedvert with slicks has still got a stock 10 bolt. Auto cars are totally different than a m-6 car. Good luck but I wouldn't run slicks unless your willing to buy another rear just in case.

Im running the stock 10 bolt too.... My best run is 8.09 in the 1/8th. Car is stock save for a LID,Cat back, LCA's and Dr's.. leaving at 6000 rpm with a little clutch slip.. Everyone on a local board that has seen me run tells me the rear will go soon... But she keeps on ticking!! no problems, no whines etc.. i think those 10 bolts are pretty tough
